I love the cabin cruisers. I love the small size and comfort offered. Now for my thoughts on why not offer “green” distance. Today with solar/wind and such a long roofline a 6 solar panels doing 800w each produces 48kwh and may do 5-8kn as long as the sun shines. No fossil fuels! Maintenance free relatively speaking! Batteries acts as the ballast! I asked this of saxdor too, but who will finally wake up to this? It becomes the third category of cabin cruising: wind, fuel, and sun. I don’t know if i could afford it (if it’s under $250k), but it’s really interesting.

I love the 30.1 because it is a great trailer/sailer. I was wondering, instead of a diesel motor, installing a seakeeper6 gyro stabilizer and an electric motor in the current engine compartment with the batteries along the bottom of the 30.1 which would add low and centered weight.

Can the mercury joystick control the bow thruster as well? Why the separate bow thruster? Do the engines not have quiet enough authority or is it backup? Thanks! Great video
